Greetings from Possum Trot, Kentucky

This morning Alicia, Cory, Chris, and I had breakfast and then drove to Tim and Barbara’s house.  On the way there we spoke to a professor who Cory knows who has built a few clinics all over the world that perform a new kind of process to fight cancer.  It sounds very interesting and we are trying to learn more.

Shawn (Tim’s son) and his family (Lisa, TC, Emily, and Lauren) joined us and we all went to a great Mexican restaurant.  After eating we drove to the care center to see Grandpa Bob.  Grandpa was very funny and had us all laughing.  I visited Grandpa about 6 months ago and he was more alert and talkative today than he was then.

We sat around laughing and eating cake and ice cream.  At one point Dad put Chris’ glasses on to look cool.  It was emotional as we were saying goodbye but we knew we would be back tomorrow.

Dad was very tired today and in a lot of pain.  He is experiencing a pain in his neck today that is new.  He took quite a few pain meds today and looks very worn out.  He was able to take a nap this afternoon and are currently having another great dinner at Tim and Barbara’s.

  1. Everyone looks so good in these photos, great post Teague. I love the one with Gary, Grandpa, and Grandma. It definitely seems like you all caught the grandparents on good days, and that is no coincidence.
