Dad was able to finally get some sleep this afternoon. We felt badly because Caitlin (granddaughter) was in town for the weekend from college and came by to visit on her way back up but Dad was very nauseous and she was not able to see him. Alicia and her kids came by and visited for awhile which was nice. Cory spent all afternoon and evening there as well. Mom was also to get a couple of hours of sleep in which she desperately needed!
About 5:00 Dad woke up and said he was feeling pretty well. I told him to lift up his shirt so I could put the patch on and he asked if he could take a shower first. I said, “Uh, Dad, that would be fine but you took one a few hours ago.” He looked at me very puzzled and asked what day it was. I told him it was Monday and he looked even more confused. He was convinced it was Tuesday morning. When he walked out of the bedroom the first question he asked Mom was, “Raynee, what day is it?”
He was pretty coherent and said he was not nauseous and not in a lot of pain. He lasted that way until he went to bed. YAY!!! I hope we have turned the corner!!
