Morning update...

Good morning!

Dad had a real rough night last night. His bones hurt so bad it was almost unbearable. He was asking for his pain meds to be given to him right on the dot and not a second late. For him to ask like that means the pain is greater than most people could handle.

On a good note, he is sitting next to Brandi & me, eating an awesome breakfast that I cooked for him, watching Dawson break dance and says he feels a lot better. "The pain was in every part of my body, even down to the bottom of my feet. Every time I moved a tiny little bit it would hurt soooo bad" is what he just said to me. WOW! I can't even imagine!!!

Mom had a rough night as well. She hates seeing Dad in so much pain. Last night as we were crying with each other on the phone we had to tell "knock knock" jokes to each other to snap us out of it. This morning I text early asking how Dad was doing and what she was doing. Her text read "I just gave Dad more pain meds and he is trying to lay very still. As for me, I'm good, no more melt downs today! I am laying here beside the best husband EVER!!" One thing everyone knows is how incredible their relationship is. How wonderful they can still be so in love...

Some friends took Mom to breakfast which was much needed after the night they both had. Thanks you guys for getting her out for a little bit!

Let's pray for a good day! I LOVE YOU DAD AND MOM!

  3. …I will bear him up as on eagles’ wings; and he shall beget glory and honor to himself and unto my name. D&C 124:18

“Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm, it simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm…. (unknown author)

Loving you both so fully, and pray you may be aloft with this storm.

  4. Gary/Raynee and Family,
Our prayers are with you every night! If you need someone to take you to treatment or visit for a while, give me a shout. Gary, if you wanted out from teaching the HP you could have just asked me to sub for while, no need to go through all this! Keep fighting my friend! Leland

  5. Hi Gary,
This is Betty & Cliff in England - hope that you still remember us! We are here giving it all that we have in the way of prayers. I have been to the temple today and guess who's names appeared on the Prayer Roll. There's no way that Heavenly Father does not know of your needs.
Have you wayched the film Bruce Almighty? Remember the post it notes for prayers received? Well that is how many supplications are going out for you!! If you haven't seen the film - it is a great one to look forward to.
Saw your picture on your chemo day and you looked good. It's going to be tough for a while yet, but it will be worth it, and you have Raynee to see you through. We love you both heaps and are truly inspired by your great faith and strength.
    Talk to you again later.

    Love to you
    Betty & Cliff

  7. Dear Gary and Raynee,
We love you both and are so sorry we cannot relieve you of some of your pain and suffering. We are all praying for you, all 36 of us. You are continually in our thoughts and prayers. We know you have gone through all of this, Raynee, so you understand better than the rest of us what Gary is going through. And it probably makes it so tough to watch him. But we are grateful you are by his side and that your kids are taking such good care of you. Keep up the good fight! You are doing such a great job. Thank you for always being our teachers. We continue to pray for you to get through this. We love you. Jim and Kay
